Meet The Founder

Welcome from Our Founder

"Every older adult deserves to feel confident, safe, and independent in their own body and home."

Hi, I am Kofo, Founder and Director of Steady Steps Community CIC.

For over 24 years, I have dedicated my life to caring for others as an NHS nurse. My journey across Hospital Wards, District Nursing, and 12 years as a Specialist Rehabilitation Nurse has shown me first-hand the incredible strength of our older population—and how drastically a single fall can impact someone's health, confidence, and independence.

Holding a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing alongside my roles as a Diabetes Link Nurse and Infection Control Link Nurse, I bring a wealth of clinical expertise to our community. However, my true passion lies in proactive, preventative care.

I founded Steady Steps to bridge the gap between hospital care and everyday community life. I believe that aging gracefully should not mean losing your independence or living in fear of a fall. By taking our specialist rehabilitation knowledge directly into local venues, churches, and community spaces across Lewisham and London South East, we empower older adults through tailored exercise, mobility support, and practical health guidance.

Whether you are looking to improve your balance, regain confidence after a slip, or simply keep moving alongside friendly faces, Steady Steps is here to support you every step of the way.

Together, let us keep moving safely and independently.
